Today, October 11, is the International Day of the Girl Child sponsored by the United Nations and celebrated around the world. What can you do? So easy. But first, an excerpt from the introduction of 101 Ways to Wow! Our World—a powerful new book about yOur potential, coming soon.
“Half the population cannot continue to be minimized, punished, and dismissed because they are female. It just doesn’t make sense, except to those that are trying so desperately to keep control. And that desperation is affecting other populations as well as the historical record from which we learn—all deserving a fresh look from a much broader and inclusive perspective. IMAGINE the ideas, cures, achievements, inventions, and collaborations that have never been tried because those voices were silenced… There is so much we can do!”

LISTEN to their ideas. ENCOURAGE their curiosity. DEFEND their rights. SUPPORT their interests. EMPOWER by believing in them. HONOR their journey. ADVOCATE for a world where they have true freedom of expression. LOVE them for all they are.
TEACH boys of any age to do the same.
DONATE to supportive organizations or VOLUNTEER!
Be a VOICE for girls so they learn to use theirs.
Be a ROLE MODEL and lead by example.
SHOW UP so they know how to be present.
In love and light
